Kelly Moore photography bag

I saw this bag while browsing the web for photo gear this weekend, and I'm in love!  Hello wish list, this bag is moving to the top!  I have a gear bag now, but: 1) it doesn't hold as much & 2) it is nowhere near as cute.

The b-hobo bag in heather grey, by Kelly Moore, can hold a good amount too: "up to a 9 inch lens, camera body, flash, phone, batteries & other accessories".

Old School Stationers

How cute are these 'Camping Circa 1960's' prints from Old School Stationers out of Portland, OR?  They are available as cards, journals and wall prints.  I think these would be great framed and hanging up in our future den! The images remind me of one of my favorite children's books (I read to the kids I babysat when I was in college): A Camping Spree With Mr. Magee.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Branching out

{Ted Muehling Branch Candlesticks via Remodelista}

I was flipping through an old copy of Smithsonian Magazine and came across these gorgeous candlesticks that come with a not so gorgeous price tag...$1,298.00!  Ted Muehling originally created the pieces in 2003 and they were included in the exhibit "Rococo: The Continuing Curve, 1730-2008" at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York.  I sighed when I saw these candlesticks they are so lovely.
The pieces, made at a Munich porcelain factory that has been in operation since 1747, were cast from wind-twisted cedar sticks.

I would love to have a set similar to this flanking each side of our fireplace mantle with my favorite framed photograph by my friend Christine Tran right in the middle!  I can see it already.

Unfortunately I have searched online for something similar, and nothing is quite as stunning or breathtaking as Ted Meuhling's work.

Here are a few of the others I found:

Holga my love

I was looking through the Urban Outfitters site and came across an awesome selection of Holga related items.  It's been a long while since I've shot with my Holga; in fact I think it may still have some undeveloped film inside (oops!).  Yet these accessories make me think it just might be time to pick it up again.

Animal portraits

My husband and I spent a great weekend up in Bellingham visiting friends and celebrating birthdays.  Mr. Squirrel was the sweet gift I received from Brittany (complete in a cute vintage frame).  I've already decided he will go great above towel rack number one in our bathroom and now I just need to convince Mrs. Squirrel that she'd be oh so happy living above towel rack number two.  I thought the Skunk couple was also adorable.  To see more of these wonderful drawings from the imagination of Ryan Berkley check out his Etsy shop: Berkley Illustrations.

Sweet Etsy: head to toe

There is always something to love at Etsy.  If only I had a special savings account for all the items I see and 'have to have'!  Maybe I could pick up a weekend job to fund that account?

I heart Oly

So I'm in love again!  I haven't visited the wonderful Buy Olympia site in many moons.  When I was living in Oly and going to Evergreen I took full advantage of all the wonderful handcrafted treasures like this comfy reading is sexy tee (I love my boy-cut shirts).  I treated myself to the Nikki McClure  calendar each January, and I am still astounded by the amazing and intricate images she is able to create with her x-acto knife and construction paper!  The journals by Uppercase are a perfect place to jot down thoughts or new ideas...but my new favorite has to be the charming paintings by Paper Milk.  I want to frame Mr. Sweet-Pea and put him up in my bathroom!

Did I mention that I love squirrels?
